2006 — Record TV Kenya Founded
Record TV Kenya, a free-to-air television station based in Nairobi, was co-founded by media entrepreneurs Felix Muranda and Shadrack Matata. It offers a mix of news, entertainment, religious, and cultural programming in English and Kiswahili.

2006–2021 — RecordTV Uganda Operations
RecordTV Uganda launched on 11 September 2006 and ceased broadcast on 31 March 2021 due to financial challenges compounded by the COVID-19 pandemic. The channel served audiences in English and Luganda.

2016 — Rebranding to Record TV Africa
Originally TV Record Angola, the station was rebranded as Record TV Africa on 24 November 2016 to reflect its expanded Pan-African reach and programming under Record Media Group PLC.

2025 — Launch of Record News (English)
Record News (English), a digital-first news portal based in Nairobi, was launched in 2025. It is operated by Record Broadcasting Ltd., and covers politics, business, culture, sports, and technology under the editorial leadership of Felix Muranda.
